Bring the kids and pack a picnic this Saturday morning, April 11, from 10-11:30 a.m. Gilbert Localist is hosting “Play Day at the Preserve,” at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve; a super fun, local event in Gilbert AZ for the whole family.
Children ages 6-12 (younger must be accompanied by parent or guardian) will be lead through 3 fun and informative lessons about the Arizona desert. They will learn about Arizona buys, desert wildlife, and the desert ecosystem in an awesomely interactive way.
Parents have the option of exploring the grounds of the Riparian Preserve with the park naturalist to learn about the local plants and animals. Stick around after the event to enjoy all the great amenities that this Gilbert park has to offer!

For the kids, a 3-part interactive learning experience – The Shoreline: A Web of Life, Discover the Desert, & A Bug’s World: Up close and personal with the creepy crawlers of the desert!
For the Adults, a guided walk with the preserve Naturalist, to learn about the indigenous plants and wildlife
